Why Moving to Peak Performance?


 

Every year since 2013 the Design for Dance conference has brought together movers and thinkers from diverse specialties to share findings on how dance can integrate into life. 

We know that an athlete may have a high level of endurance and strength but lack emotional resilience at a critical moment and therefore be unable to perform. Similarly, we recognize the importance of movement to further any learning process. As a community, we have been circling around the idea of Peak Performance for years. We believe movement is a critical factor in learning and performance.

 In 2017 we have chosen the theme of "Moving to Peak Performance" because we believe that it is the combination of physical, psychological, and emotional training regimes that create the ultimate state of performance.
